Vice Provost for International Affairs & Global Strategies

The Vice Provost for International Affairs and Global Strategies serves as the senior international officer for the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and has administrative oversight over the following units.


Global Communication

The Global Communication team provides expertise and services in the field of marketing and communications, including: branding, public relations, speech writing, journalism, graphic design, social media, outreach, and web management.

Global Education & Training

Global Education and Training (GET) prepares today’s global workforce by providing transformative customized executive training programs, professional capacity building opportunities, and academic certificate programs. Learn more about GET.

Global Relations

Global Relations facilitates inter-institutional agreements and partnerships between Illinois and other universities, governmental agencies, non-governmental organizations, and private sector corporations. These collaborations create an environment where innovative knowledge, research, education, faculty, and students move freely across geopolitical, cultural, disciplinary, and/or academic borders. Illinois Abroad & Global Exchange

Illinois Abroad and Global Exchange (IAGE) provides exceptional study abroad experiences through academically and professionally integrated pathways for Illinois students, faculty, and staff. Learn more about IAGE.

Intensive English Institute

The Intensive English Institute (IEI) helps international students improve their English language proficiency through a diverse set of courses tailored to meet the students' language and professional-training needs. International Business Operations

International Business Operations provides human resource, grant, and financial administrative services to the units, centers, and programs of Illinois International. Learn more about Business Operations.

International Safety & Security

International Safety and Security monitors world events, responds to student, faculty, and staff incidents abroad on a 24/7 basis, and increases the quality of and access to pre-departure training for Illinois students, faculty, and staff traveling internationally.
