Celebrate the 2026 Awardees
The 2026 Sheth Distinguished International Alumni Lecture will occur over the lunch hour on April 28, 2026, in the Illini Union. This event is free and open to the public.
The International Achievement Awards ceremony and banquet will be held in the evening of April 28, 2026. More details are forthcoming.
Madhuri and Jagdish N. Sheth International Alumni Award for Exceptional Achievement
Established by Dr. Jagdish and Mrs. Madhuri Sheth, this award celebrates international alumni who are highly distinguished in their profession, have made outstanding societal contributions, and exemplify the strength of their Illinois education.
Sheth Distinguished Faculty Award for International Achievement
Established by the Provost and endowed by Dr. Jagdish and Mrs. Madhuri Sheth, this award honors an Illinois faculty member for exemplary accomplishments in teaching, research, and public service in the international arena.
Charles C. Stewart International Young Humanitarian Award
Established, and endowed by Professor Emeritus Charles C. Stewart, this award recognizes the international service of an Illinois alum whose dedication to the welfare of communities outside of the United States exemplifies the highest ideals of selflessness.
Illinois International Graduate Achievement Award
The award recognizes an Illinois graduate student (U.S. citizen or international) whose innovative and sustained international research or public service abroad has had a significant, societal impact.
Illinois International Undergraduate Achievement Award
This award recognizes an Illinois undergraduate student (U.S. citizen or international) for a significant service or contribution resulting from their participation in an international study course, program, or project.
