Illinois Abroad and Global Exchange
Illinois Abroad and Global Exchange provides exceptional study abroad experiences through academically and professionally integrated pathways for university students, faculty, and staff.
Intensive English Institute
The Intensive English Institute helps international students and professionals improve their English language proficiency.
International Safety and Security
International Safety and Security monitors world events, responds to student, faculty, and staff incidents abroad on a 24/7 basis, and increases the quality of and access to pre-departure training for members of the campus community traveling internationally.
International Student and Scholar Services
International Student and Scholar Services serves the university’s international community and campus units through advising, immigration services, programming, advocacy, and outreach.
Study Abroad Offices
ACES Study Abroad Office
The College of ACES has its own study abroad office and programs designed specifically for ACES students. However, many programs are also open to non-ACES majors.
Education International Programs
The College of Education has its own study abroad office and programs designed specifically for education students. However, programs are not restricted to College of Education students.
FAA International Programs
The College of Fine and Applied has its own study abroad office called FAA International Programs. Many programs in FAA are only open to FAA students, however, some programs are open to all majors.
Gies Global Programs
The Gies College of Business has its own study abroad office called Gies Global Programs and programs designed specifically for Gies students.
Illinois Abroad and Global Exchange
The campus study abroad office, Illinois Abroad and Global Exchange, supports students in colleges without a dedicated study abroad office. Students may pursue any program, from any college, that is open to all students.
International Programs in Engineering (IPENG)
The Grainger College of Engineering has its own study abroad office called International Programs in Engineering (IPENG) and programs designed specifically for engineering students, as well as several STEM majors.
LAS International Programs
The College of Liberal Arts & Sciences has its own study abroad office called LAS International Programs, and programs designed specifically for LAS majors. LAS International Programs also offers many campus-wide programs.
Law Study Abroad
The College of Law provides the opportunity for advanced JD students to develop this global awareness through semester-long programs at foreign partner schools.
Media Study Abroad
The College of Media works closely with Illinois Abroad and Global Exchange to serve Media students seeking study abroad opportunities.
