International Programs and Studies oversees a wide range of administrative services for students, faculty, and affiliated campus units, as well as the larger Urbana-Champaign community. Through the Office of International Students and Scholar Services we offer orientation, advising and outreach programs for international students, faculty, scholars and staff.
Through the Office of Institutional Collaboration (OIC), IPS provides consultation and advice for faculty seeking to form new institutional partnerships, works towards broadening and deepening existing partnerships, and oversees all formal legal documentation supporting these partnerships. OIC also serves as the campus liaison office for the Fulbright Programs, and assists campus units in developing itineraries for visiting delegations from existing or proposed partner institutions.
As part of a joint venture between the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and International Programs and Studies International Centers Administration Services (ICAS) provides grant and administrative services for the U.S Department of Education Title VI National Resource Centers housed under these units.
IPS also offers Protocol advice and event planning resources for hosting international diplomats and other distinguished visitors. Information on international business etiquette and resources for professional travelers are available under our travel section.
Please visit our Illinois International calendar for a comprehensive list of current international activities and events around campus.
